Hello, all!

For those of you that still keep up with this blog, I have created a new one. You can find it at http://catchingreality.blogspot.com/. I will be posting in a more journalistic style rather than just posting photographs. (The pictures will still be included, of course!!)

Today marks 7 years. I work for an agency created as a response to the horrific attacks on our nation on September 11, 2001. It isn't always rewarding; it isn't always fufilling. But today I am humbled and honored to be a small part of the force that is protecting our great country. I hope everyone can take a moment of silence today to reflect and remember all of those lives lost. Remember the brave, remember those who were afraid, remember those who fought. Remember the moment you found out. Remember the tears you shed. Remember the flags that everyone placed on their cars, their homes, and in their workplaces. Remember the pride, strength and unity that shone through our country like a light in the darkness. Remember all of it... and try to keep it in your hearts and minds forever.

United we stand.

Brian and I were models for a "Trash The Dress" shoot for Scott and Adina Hayne- the same couple that did our family shoot. I had told Adina about my lacklustre wedding photos, and she took pity on me. ;) They have been wanting more clients to do a 'trash the dress' styled shoot, so they are using us for some of their promotional material.

Brian and I had a BLAST!!! Scott and Adina are an amazing couple. Scott is the photographer, and Adina is his beautiful wife/assistant. Their son also helps as a second photogapher- he also helped out during our family shoot.

This is just a small sampling from our 4 hour shoot this past Sunday... expect many more pictures to be posted in the near future!!! (If you would like to check out more of Scott Hayne's fabulous photography, check out his website, http://www.scotthaynephotography.com/, or his blog at http://www.scotthayneblog.com/.) Definitely click on the pictures to see them enlarged so you can see the beautiful detail.

I have a correction for my last post!!! I am not able to burn copies of the cd. HOWEVER. I have placed pictures with a lower resolution onto a photobucket account so you can choose the ones you like. Just click on this link: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v201/alurabelle/Family%20Shoot/ . The password is "family". Please don't print them from there- they won't come out as clear as the original. Just let me know which photos you want! Email me at crimsnbutterfli@cox.net.

ATTENTION ALL FAMILY MEMBERS (and friends that are interested)!!!!! We now own the copyright to our family shoot photos (courtesy of my mom)! (About time, right?!) I will be more than happy to burn a disc of them for anyone. Just shoot me an email-mailto:email-crimsnbutterfli@cox.net- or leave a comment here.

I have finally gotten around to posting before and after pictures of our house for everyone!!! These are a bit old... I took most of them the first day after we moved in. (Not that I would ever be so organized to set all that stuff up myself... my mom and dad helped Brian out with most of it while I was at work!) I was fortunate enough to have my dad come up and spend the night, and my mom came over the day of the move to help unpack everything.

(We are hoping to tear those ugly awnings off soon... we just have to get permission from the church! Brian has also done quite a bit of landscaping since these pictures. I will need to take more sometime soon! He is also the one who made that lovely path to the door from our driveway.)

***double click the photos to see them larger!!!***

Levi!
This is our backyard view... our church towering over us! ;)

Living Room before...

Living Room after... the color is hard to see, but it is called "vineyard estate". It's a wine-like color, and actually looks fantastic in here! I will try to get brighter pictures for you all. Several people thought I was crazy when I first picked out the color, but once they saw the room all nice and painted, they loved it. :)
